Join us for what promises to be a most interesting and enjoyable talk by Sir Sherard Cowper-Coles, President of the Jane Austen Society. Sir Sherard’s family have been members of the Society since 1947, shortly after it was established, and a forebear of his, Mary Pearson, was once engaged to Jane’s banker brother Henry.

A former British Ambassador to Israel, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, Sir Sherard is also author of ‘Cables from Kabul’ and ‘Ever the Diplomat.’

We are honoured that Sir Sherard has agreed to come to Salisbury to deliver this talk in support of Arundells and the Sir Edward Heath Charitable Foundation.

The talk will take place in the Lecture Hall at the Salisbury Museum, Cathedral Close, Salisbury.

Tickets cost £15. To book, please ring 01722 331440.
