Join award-winning writer and journalist Max Hastings as he talks about his latest book Vietnam: An Epic Tragedy 1945-1975.

Max Hastings has worked as a foreign correspondent for the BBC, editor-in-chief of The Daily Telegraph, and editor in chief of the Evening Standard. He is the author of numerous books, chiefly on defence, which have won several major awards.

Vietnam: An Epic Tragedy 1945-1975 is Hastings’ 25th title. It is a provocative, challenging work that attempts to portray and explain the most divisive conflict since World War II through the eyes of those who lived and fought it. His descriptions of the experiences of American, communist and South Vietnamese soldiers on the battlefield have already won plaudits from veterans.

Tickets cost £22 each, to include a light buffet before the talk.
